Two cent Pieces were minted between 1864 and 1873. The motto “In God We Trust” first appeared on the coin.
Personal Note: When I first started helping my father out sorting his coins (age 10), I found an 1864 Small Motto that he had mislabeled as a Large Motto. It was a $90 coin instead of a $15 coin. I was quite excited!
